198 Contemporary Arts and Learning is a gallery and art education centre that offers various short courses that change regularly but always have a media centred core, recent courses have included:
Film & Video, Art & Design as well as Advance Photography. The courses are Free and are aimed at those who are 19 years and above on benefits or a low income.Â
In tandem with their artistic programme, 198 works with local young people aged 13-25 with multiple and complex needs through their Creative Learning training and outreach programmes. This consists of a programme of skills development, one-to-one support, advice and mentoring provides young people with opportunities to have a voice, reconnect with learning and work towards careers in the Creative and Cultural industries.
